Hello there  My name is Pern, well it’s really Pernille, but I tend not to use my Norwegian name much these days, and I kind of like Pern better ^^. Pern also means Honey buzzard. I am a 22 year old Norwegian girl, currently living in England while I’m studying Garden Design here. I have drawn all my life. I was an only child growing up, so from a young age I learnt to entertain myself by being creative. In 2003 I started studying art for my gymnasium education (from the age of 16 to 19). In the beginning of my second year however, I injured my right shoulder and have had trouble with it ever since. Being right handed, it has made it more difficult for me to create and be creative with my own work, since using it extensively usually leaves me in quite a lot of pain. But drawing is such a big part of me, so even if it’s made it more difficult, it will never stop me from expressing my creativity. After finishing Art School in summer 2006, I had a gap year to work, and figure out what I wanted to study further. September 2007 I moved to England to study Garden Design. The studies do take up a lot of time and energy from me, and also strains my shoulder, so I don’t have time for drawing my own stuff these days, but I always do when I find the time and strength. However, the handicap of my arm has made me find the pleasure in photography. From my name you might have guessed that I am a perfectionist, which can be a pain in the behind some times.
